Railway mail

In Turkmenistan, railway mail is regulated by the Law on Postal Communications. This law establishes the legal basis for postal activities and defines the rights and obligations of postal operators.

Cash on delivery mail is accepted for delivery throughout Turkmenistan and to foreign countries with which relevant agreements have been concluded.

In Turkmenistan, railway transport plays an important role in the country's transport system. About 90% of trade is carried out by rail.

The railway infrastructure includes several branches and junctions that continue to develop. The Law of Turkmenistan on Railway Transport regulates the legal and organizational framework for the operation and development of railway transport.
